The Names Online module displays the number of Anonymous Users (Guests) or the names of Registered Users or both, users who have visited the website or logged in during the last few days. You can see an example right here in the right sidebar, "Visitors".
Names Online v1.3.0 for Joomla 4, 5 and 6
This version was released on November 11, 2025. It runs natively and does not require backward compatibility plugins.
The module has new configuration options:
- number of days to report from
- whether to display number of days or not
- display just the number of visitors with or without usernames or names
Names Online supports now the following languages: Finnish (fi-FI), Swedish (sv-SE), German (de-DE), Spanish (es-ES) and French (fr-FR). If you have previously installed an earlier version of this extension, please uninstall the old version first and then install version 1.3.0. This is necessary because the location of the language files has changed. They are now stored in the module folder.
This module requires Joomla 4.3 and PHP 8.1 as the minimum versions. The versions are checked by the installation script.
